I use this skit in my FPU classes. It is funny when you watch it, but a lot of people actually “buy things they cannot afford” and then wonder why they can’t seem to make ends meet.

Not that recent but you still get points for posting one of my all time favorite skits on SNL. We know so many people that cannot conceive in their minds that they could actually save up and pay for a car.

I saw it mainly as a parody of those infomercials for books and video systems that basically peddle common sense. It does hit so close to home, however, that it could have the effect of a PSA!

I thought it was hilarious and have forwarded on. Thanks for sharing. The trailer was saying it was from March 2006. If it really was aired in 2006 and folks took that advice, I wonder where our economy would have been at 2008.
