Cindy let me encourage you. See my comment above, posted in 2009. I had just lost my job then (in September, 2009). After a lot of intercession from prayer warriors and faith (a little less than a mustard seed) from my side, I got a job in August 2010 - after 10 months of not being full-time on a company's payroll.

Fast and pray. Spend quiet time with God. Keep a notepad and pen and your study Bible handy while you do so. And try to be home on the day of fasting. Above all else, DO the Word...i.e., confess the verses of promises like Psalm 23, Psalm 128, Philippians 4:19 etc. Actually command the job that God wills for you, to come to you and thank God for sending His angels to snatch the job from the enemy's hands and bring it to you. Renounce any sin you might have committed in your previous job, like accessing personal emails on company time if not allowed, or taking longer breaks than allowed even though you may not have needed them etc. Do not feel condemned.

You are a joint heir with Christ Jesus and are seated in heavenly places with Him, if you are born again. Take your stance and fight the enemy tooth and nail. He works 24x7...you should work at 24.7 minutes a day at least. All the best and congrats in aadvance for getting that great job in line with His will! :)

Hi Steve, wonderful article. I am having difficulty staying in a place of unmovable faith concerning God's promises. I have experienced great wonders at His hand, however, although I have always been a faithful tither and giver, I am not seeing the promise of Malachi 3:10 being fulfilled. It's been well over 2 yrs of diligent job searching, to no avail. Every door that seemed to be opening closed while it was half way opened. I've never experienced being under a closed heaven in my relationship with Jesus. It's so difficult now with no job, no income, and all that I have given to the kingdom throughout the years not being returned back to me in such desperate times. I'm always doing spiritual check ups to see if I am walking in my ordered steps and doing what the word requires of me...He's not spoken to me in that area. Can someone share some Godly insight on my condition. I believe, but I need help with my present unbelief. Thanks and God bless!

Steve that was an interesting article indeed. I was a struggling singer who used to make just enough every month to survive one day. My parents used to support me 100%. After turning to Christ, I began doing jobs in offices and call centres. I now earn really well and also have a car since 4.5 years. I paid off the loan on it in just a year! I am planning to buy a new car early next year.

I was out of a job for 9 months in 2006. I cleared all my tithe dues (I had robbed God) and God blessed with me with a job. God is not commercial or money-minded: He just taught me that His Word is not a pastime. It's my life-giver and sustainer. I needed to honour it. I did, and God honoured me with a job soon after.

Blessed be the name of the LORD!

There is always fear when walking through the door of opportunity (taking a step of faith) - but I find the greatest fear is when I'm halfway down the road, and I'm in with both feet trudging down this path that I knew (or thpught I knew) God sent me down. Then things didn't go like I expected, and it's harder than I thought, and I don't have the warm fuzzy feelings I used to have, and God doesn't seem like He's around much lately, and I begin to doubt. Which is EXACTLY where I am right now, and why I am thankful to have read this post which reminds me that God has a plan, and I can trust Him to see me through what He started. He is faithful! Thank God for God!

I think the point about showing (to yourself, God, "the universe") that you're ready for the next level (of $, career, love) is really important and definitely rings true with what I've experienced. It's important to acknowledge what you've achieved and also that you can handle and truly want something else - the next level of management, the next pay bracket, another friend, a new city - whatever it is. For some people, this means allowing yourself to believe that you do deserve it.
