Dave Ramsey's MOMENTUM Program

My church is getting ready to start Momentum, a program where the goal is to get 80% of your church through Financial Peace University. It's a relatively new program from Dave Ramsey and was curious to know if any other readers have been through the Momentum program. We have been teaching FPU now for a while at the church but this is our first huge push. We have over 100 people signed up in 4 classes that meet at various times. If you or your church has been through this program, I would enjoy hearing your experiences. Thanks!

we haven't had the program at my church, but I, like you, am interested in finding out more about it from others who have done it... Either way, I would love to hear what you think about it after you go through it...

I haven't heard of that, but sounds like a great plan. Our church is doing FPU starting next month, I'm not attending this time as I just "graduated" from FPU at another church. We are going to see Dave live this weekend, and I can't wait!

Starting week four tomorrow of Momentum in our church. So far, things are going well except for a couple of child care issues. This is one of the most important weeks as Dave talks about the Debt Snowball. This usually is what generates the most amount of discussion, questions and controversy. I know of several couples in our church already who have terrific testimonies of how it worked for them.... certainly the best testimonies are from people you know.

Hadn't heard of MOMENTUM before...we are doing FPU right now. My hubby & I are already debt free (except for the house), but we love Dave Ramsey and decided to go thru the class, since we hadn't before. We also went and saw Dave live--it was awesome! We have also taken and lead CROWN at our church. It all keeps you focused and motivated.

I assisted Dave as the principle designer/creator of the Momentum Program. After its design completion I accepted the Senior Pastorate of Liberty Heights Church and inherited a 12.1 million debt serviced by 1.8 million annual offerings. I began Momentum and put 300 families through. Our offerings actually dropped slightly for the next four months. As the principles of FPU began to work the offerings increased and surpassed the pre-Momentum gifts. I can say that Dave Ramsey's Momentum saved our church financial future.
