The Dollar and Christian money management

There is a growing community who feel the actions being taken by the U.S. Govt and the Fed will have far reaching implications for the Dollar. Basically, they foresee a continued severe and prolonged drop in the value of the dollar vs other major currencies. One of the forwmost proponents of this vies is Peter Schiff. Questions arise. Do you subscribe to this forecast? Are these views mainly a result of a basic fear of the future, which I believe would be contrary to our Christian faith?

I don't think there is anything contrary to Christian faith in being prudent and planning for the worst case scenario.

Just about every Christian personal finance blog I've read has recommended building up an emergency fund. Would you say that doing so is the result of a basic fear of the future and thus contrary to Christian faith?

If (when) a severe economic collapse comes due to massive devaluation of the dollar, as Christians, will be in a better place to display the love of Jesus by helping those in need if we didn't prepare ourselves for such an event or if we did?

I would say NO.

Those views are from analyizing what is going on, and using common sense to say "If X keeps happening Y is bound to follow"

If those facts make you fearful it's a different story.
