To all that might be interested.

Eternal Rock Fellowship Church posted three great sermons by Dave Ramsey at Sermon Network (http://www.sermon.net/erfellowship) that were preached at their church over a few weeks. Although I haven't listened to all 3 in their entirety, from what I have listened to I certainly have gleaned from. I plan on watching them this week.

They offer free downloads from the Sermon Network which include audio and video of the sermons and a PDF that goes with the 1st sermon. The titles of the 3 sermons are as follows:

1. Basics of Biblical Finance
2. Breaking the Bondage of Debt
3. The Myth about Money

Thanks for the link. I just finished listening to them and they were really good. I like what Dave said about how pastors should preach on money management and getting out of debt more than just the tithe. I also like how he challenged people to tithe for 90 days and if they were unhappy at the end they had the chance to stop. I read something one time, it might have been on this forum but I can't find it now, about a pastor who challenged his congregation to tithe for 90 days. As an incentive he said that anyone who wasn't happy at the end of 90 days, and didn't feel like it had changed their lives could ask for their money back. At the end only one couple asked for their money back.

Yeah, I'd love to find the article or whatever it was again. I think the couple just really needed the money. Just did a Google search and it seems like a few churches are doing this. Some make it so you have to tithe the whole 90 days before you can request a refund, and others will let you request a refund any time. It seems like a good idea for the church and the congregation. I know if I was severely in debt and was afraid about paying bills a guarantee would make me seriously consider trying to tithe.

OFF TOPIC SORRY. .. ..

My church took an offering for a new building project all last year. We ending up saving over $850,000. But then some political garbage happened between the old people in the church and the new people in the church, and the building project has been flying some serious holding patterns.

I'm seriously thinking about asking for my money back and sending it to Gospel for Asia or something. It would mess up my taxes though.
