Aaaaaaahhh...Outside our kitchen window...the sun is already coming up this morning...it's going to be a warm and fuzzy day and the subject is "love"....my very favorite subject.
Now I'm not talkin' 'behind closed doors'...mush gushy love....I'm talking, "I feel like I'm half empty when he runs errands and I stay home"...kind of love....

It's no secret that I'm the hopeless romantic in this duo in the Canyon....I posted one of my very favorite songs this morning on my profile page...for anyone browsing my page to listen to...and for me....I posted "Without You". That song was written especially for Howard & Vestal Goodman but it sure fits us to a "T" also...it says..."I couldn't have made this journey...without you....there've been many days your love has brought me through....we've been down this road of life together...yes, we've gone a mile or two....and I couldn't have made this journey...without you"......

Billy is the 'cut and dried' half of this life long love fest...I'll say..."Do ya love me?" And he'll say..."I told you 46 years ago I loved ya..and if I ever change my mind...I'll letcha know!" :-/ So for his song today...I posted "My Funny
Valentine"...& 'it' says...."Sweet comic Valentine...your looks are laughable...so un-photographable...hahaha...(so true)...you're my favorite work of art...and you make me smile with my heart"....now even that last line...is a little over the top for the old geezer....but I can tell you for a fact...that rascal would fight a grizzly bear with his bare hands for me today......so I'm ok with his 'cut and dried'...because I know 'him'.....

Love is absolutely every thing it's cracked up to be...it's worth fighting for...it's worth dying for....love makes life worth living...it always has...& it always will.

When I worked at Hobby Lobby...Billy worked swing shift...and we'd leave notes to each other....I'd buy those little spiral notebooks that are school paper size....and if we were working different shifts....or he was even getting home on day shift before me....I'd leave him a note.....he left me notes every single day too....and we have a stack of notebooks that would probably come to my knees or higher with every single page...front and back...filled....some notes were silly....once in a while I'd leave something really fun...or stupid...which ever way 'you' want to look at it ......I would have a scavenger hunt lined up for him....or no telling what.....or just information on what was cooking in the crock pot or oven and how to put it all together when 'he' got here before me...

I've always felt...it's the little things that mean the most.....anybody can go out and buy a piece of jewelry...but do they care enough to do something small......little things...that really count...

Valentines Day is a huge holiday to show 'love' but I'm not really a fan of Valentine cards...because have you ever seen a Valentine card that really told it like it is with a couple.....they're usually all mushy gushy...and talk about the perfect life you have....and how perfect you are as a couple.....& that isn't realistic.....If Billy gave me a card....which he has given me many, many....but I'd rather have a card that says something like, "Some days I just want to pick you up and throw you through a window...some days you make my blood pressure go so high...I think I'm going to stroke out....some days...you talk until I just want to tie you up and gag you.....but at the end of each and every day....when all is said and done....I am so glad we've been a team all these years and I love you in spite of yourself"....hahaha.....now THAT is realistic.........maybe I should write up some cards for Hallmark and send them in.....I'll bet those things would sell like hotcakes.......hahaha

Every relationship has a 'love bank'....the deposits are the good things you do that actually are good for your relationship...the little love notes in unique places for your soulmate to find...the smiley faces in the comode painted with a yellow highlighter on a paper towel....WHAT????? You guys don't DO that????? hahaha....the withdrawals...are the times you've been cranky without good reason....asked for too many material things you know you don't need or can't afford....the times you've snipped at each other........so how is your love bank...is it pretty full....or does it need a few deposits made....?

One of the sayings I used to paint on signs for craft shows was, "If you had a dime for every kind word you said...and a nickle taken away for every negative thing you said....would you be rich or poor.......(it went something like that)....
but ...what would your answer be....would you be rich or poor?

Every day should be special....if we have someone in our life...that we'd die for...And if we have that...we need to be letting them know daily....that we're so glad...we've made this journey together.....

The best time to tell/show you spouse you love them...is before someone else does.....and the very best love stories have no ending.....
