Default New to the forum...and gettin married!

    Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forum and as it says above I'm getting married! One of the things my fiance and I are planning to do, along with pre-marital counseling, is to attend a workshop/seminar with a Christian based group on finances. Since finances is the number one reason for marital stress and divorce we would love to get a headstart in learning to combatting alot of the relationship problems that money issues can cause...with God at our side I'ma big fan of forums because of the variety of well-rounded advice and helpful opinions one can get! I belong to a horse and dog forum as well, it has saved me a few un-needed trips to the vet

I look forwarding to chatting with everyone in the future!

    Welcome Mandzanita!

I think it's great that you and your fiance' are being proactive about your finances. It will make things easier down the road if you're both on the same page with your goals and ideas.

Congratulations on your engagement! My husband talked a lot about finances before marriage and it has helped us very much in our marriage. When we were engaged we went through this document from Crown Financial Ministries together and it really helped us to understand our goals and how to serve God with money. I can't recommend it enough.
