Mustard Seed Faith: The Prerequisite to Growing More Faith
Faith takes faith. In other words, you have to have some faith in order to have more faith in order to have undaunted faith (See Matthew 17:20 below):

Mat 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Note: You have to start with a little bit of faith and build it over time until you know God intimately and see for yourself how great He really is.

Developing Your Faith Involves Taking the First Step
Faith is rarely, if ever, developed over night. In fact, even believers struggle with undaunted faith from time to time (See Mark 9:24 below):

Mar 9:24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Get this: When your faith is weak, God’s faith is perfect! Even if you don’t believe completely, so long as you believe some, He has the faith in Himself to deliver you! (See Mark 4:39 below):

Mar 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

It’s normal to have doubt when you first start learning about God and building a relationship. However, the most important thing is to 'take a step of faith'. Here’s an important takeaway:

• The true testament of faith is letting go and letting God!

A Personal Testimony
If your faith is weak, then one day you need to decide to give God a try and trust Him. I’ve done that personally—I trusted that:

• God had my back
• He was the Almighty, and could help me
• He would not let me fall (See Psalm 91:11-12 below).

Psa 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
Psa 91:12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

The moment I did that I found out that almost everything I depended on and valued in my life was not right for me:

• I left places that weren't right.
• I stopped doing things that weren't right for me.
• I stopped hanging around people that weren't right for me.

Nonetheless, I thought all those things were right for me. However God, in His knowledge and foresight, knew that they weren't right--so He broke me away from some things and led me where He wanted me to go. That's trusting God!

Trusting God is in Your Best Interest
God knows what's in your best interest, and His goal is to give you the best things He can give you while you're on earth (position, provision, a spouse, family, favor, influence, health, finances, peace, protection, etc.), and ultimately place you in the best position to get to Heaven. All of that takes faith...simply because you have to have faith in order to have obedience (to listen to Him and go where He wants you to go--and all for your good).

You Cannot Change God’s Will
It's always much easier to give in, and let God direct your paths than to run away from Him. We cannot out run God...and when we try to, all we do is end up back at the starting point. He wants you to be your best so you will influence other people to accept God, and to grow in Him. In order to be your best, you need His help and guidance.

That's His work in a nutshell: changing people so they can change others so we all can be in a position of getting to Heaven, and enjoying our journey (life) there--so long as our life is lived according to His will.
