    Default Tax Preparation Software....

As Tax season approaches and you may be wondering which tax software you are going to be using, here is a side by side comparison of some of the tax software:

    and another:

After January 14, 2011 the IRS will have a list of free software to use for preparing your 2010 tax return. Some restrictions apply for using the IRS list of free software. And not every software program will have the same restrictions.

Clyde the tax guy is back in action.

As much as I appreciate your useful and informative posts, they once again remind me it is tax time, which depresses me.

I have used H&R Tax Cut for 7-8 years now. I would say thier is a 90% chance I will just use the same again this year. Mainly becuase my dad buys the software, then I just go over to his house and do my taxes and pay to efile them.

Please update us on these FREE options though. I really like free.

Many of them offer free for the Federal but require payment for the state. Most of the software is very capable of doing taxes. The key is in knowing what questions to ask that can save you some money.

Wait until March and look for a local Liberty or HR Block. They offer free reviews to see if you have missed anything.
