I just discovered Mvelopes recently and I highly recommend them. They are a budgeting system that is basically like budgeting with the envelope system, but doing it with virtual envelopes. They provide this free budgeting eBook (which the hard copy retails in stores for $14.95) that shows the financial struggle of one family and goes into detail about their financial situation as they turn their financial lives around.
