Here's what we use that seem to work just fine: pure white vinegar for cleaning the toilet bowl 1 C. white vinegar + 1 C. water for kitchen, bath and floor all purpose cleaner 1 C. isopropyl alcohol+ 1 C. water + 1 T. white vinegar for glass and mirrors A whole lot cheaper than all those chemicals too :) My vinegar is my cleaning hero since I don’t want my children cleaning with chemicals. My dishwasher had clogged due to using a bad dishsoap. I ran it through many cycles even with new soap, with no luck. I put vinegar in and let it run through and now all the dishes were clean, the machine is running fine AND I don't need a product like jet dry at the moment because everything is drying much cleaner. I tried it, using a ziploc baggy filled with vinegar which I then used a twist-tie to close around the shower head. I left it to soak over night. The next morning, my husband got up before I did and went to take his shower. He got in, turned on the water, waited a beat or two and looked up to see why water wasn't coming down, just in time to have the baggie explode (showering him with vinegar, full in the face).
