Very true words...spoken with a heart driven by The Spirit without a doubt. What you have said is powerfully affecting. Keep being the mouth piece for God. He will Bless you greatly for your service to His Kingdom!

Today I spoke to a woman who was in the 90 percent. Feeling like she was just going through the motions. She is going through my 4 week course on building kingdom wealth and finding more meaning with her finances. It has opened her eyes to what the Lord is calling her to do!

It is simply amazing so many people invest and plan their finances without having an end goal in mind... We often plan based on what the world expects us to do rather than what God uniquely placed in our hearts. He will give you the desires of your heart if you follow His will!

"Yet 10 percent of the population loved what they do and would continue doing what they do despite having more than enough money. Are you in the 90 or 10 percent?"

Definitely in the 10 percent that would continue doing what they do. Except that with having 'more than enough money' our life long successful investment and growth strategies would be just that much MORE successful. Access to more money would simply facilitate us doing more in our chosen and practiced area of skills.

Good post -- interesting

The passage you quoted about treasure in heaven in Matthew 6:19-21. Someone recently challenged me to think about what the 'treasure' in heaven is. He said that people are that treasure not money.

Great and inspiring post, Jay!
If we who have the life of Christ in our lives can't inspire other to "sing the song we sing", who can? I love the way you dovetailed the Creed song with Stockholm Syndrome. We either inspire others or we are dragged down by others. The choice is ours.

This is one uf the best blogs I have read in a very long time. In fact, many of these same points I told my husband he was suffering from 20 minutes ago! We have had so many bad setbacks I have lost count, but how many of them have been caused by the seeds of the negative words that have been spoken?? I refuse to live in this world looking only at what is happening around or to us. God is all powerful, and my faith can activate His blessings. I LOVE OUR LORD, and I want to do the work I am destined to do on this earth. Faith shall be my guide. Thanks for the blog!

Thank you all for your kind comments. I truly believe God is calling His people to live with more purpose, a deeper passion, and a higher commitment to advance His works. He is wanting us to step out of the boat and walk with Him. Are you stuck in the boat?

I loved this post. Made me start singing again. Usually a Phillips, Craig & Dean song for me. In the workplace I see this fear-driven mentality every day. When challenged with a new idea or opportunity, the response is often "I don't want to get in trouble" or I don't want to make so-and-so mad. It is career over conscience. It is safety and security over passion and inspiration. It is an acceptance of a level of mediocrity that should gnaw at the heart of every believer. "What good does it do a man to gain the world... ..." You know the rest.

This article was interesting. I think the author hits a good point, most people probably are going through the motions.

Recently my company (as most others) has certainly been trying to more with less. What used to be a fun challenge is slowly becoming a mental drain each day. I have started to explore other options as well....
