@Lisa
Good Morning,
ICK! Often when one creditor payment is late all the other creditors are notified resulting in lowering of the credit limits and increasing of the interest rates. Unfortunately, "the borrower is servant to the lender".

I would suggest
1. read over the agreement they signed to make sure this stipulation was given to the lender (probably "yes")

2. try to shift your credit to another card, signature loan, etc. BUT, be careful of the agreement they sign. Stay away from "pay day" lenders, etc.

3. if you can't find any relief in 1 or 2 above, call the creditor, talk to a supervisior in the collections area and try to work out a plan. Make sure they don't agree to something they can't afford to maintain.

If you have other significant financial concerns, you need help NOW. One choice would be to go to our web site at www.good-steward.org and look at our "Financial Crisis Prevention and Recovery Program".

If you're married, I strongly suggest that you start to pray with you're spouse TODAY. Finances can be repaired. Marriages--not so easily or quickly. Covenant together that you will ride this wave together and NOT let Satin destroy your marriage.

As a Christian you need to remember that God is still in control. There may be, and probably will be, consequences to pay, but there is also a spiritual lesson God wants you to learn. Again, you need help. Don't let the sin of pride further complicate your situation. Ask for help to learn and apply biblical financial principles and applications.

Hope this helps.

ten talents
was really looking for answers but like entering contests
:)
what to do when ur cc (credit card) company lowers ur credit limit which causes it to be $9000 over limit...then threatens to turn u into a collection agency when u can't "immediately" pay the $9000?
I never heard of such a practice but would like to save my credit if possible. Any answers would be appreciated.
