For some reason I have longed for spring to arrive more this year than any I ever remember. Maybe it is the new house, maybe it is the fact that I finally have land and can plant a garden, or maybe it is just that I am seeing more and more of God’s goodness in nature.
But whatever the reason, I am really excited that winter is over and we now have sunny springy days!
So, I am celebrating by planting my vegetable garden which will hopefully drive down our grocery bill in a few months. It is a 20×10 garden, so I will have room to plant all kinds of veggies. I will have to write a bit more about the garden and how it will hopefully save me money on food this year…

Best of luck with the garden (and thanks for the mention)!
thx for the link love!
We definitely save money when our garden is producing! This year I’ll probably end up investing around $150 total in the garden, but I plan on our $400/mo grocery budget dropping by at least a quarter. That’s $100/mo in savings. Garden will produce strong for at least 6 months. That’s $450 in savings minimum (After subtracting $150 investment) for one year’s garden.
I am renting a small community garden plot (started this year) as I still live in an apartment. It’s lots of work and I do not think I’ll save any money but it is something I have wanted to do for a long time.
