Seed A Need – Giving Fun!

I heard about this program on my local radio station. Basically just like Pay it Forward and the 10 Day Give, it is a program to encourage people to give to others. With the Seed A Need program I believe the intention is to give to strangers and after you do something for them or give them something you hand them a Seed a Need card. They then do a kind deed or give to someone else and then give that next person the card.

What is really fun is that each card has a unique number that you can plug in on the Seed A Need website which shows everything that has been given via that card. So you can actually track how people have paid it forward before and after you.

From the Seed A Need website…

“SeedANeed is not a charity or institution looking to raise funds or solicit contributions. It is a cause… A cause that anyone can participate in. A cause looking for individuals who are not seeking out popularity or crediblity but rather someone looking to make history… a history of changing lives. The only credit goes to God.”

So if you are interested head on over to SeedANeed.com and order a card to get the domino effect started!

Really cool idea. My brother-in-law’s church did something similar to this last Christmas. I headed over to the site and ordered a card.

A very cool premise and I also ordered my card today. It seems like they are based out of St. Louis but hopefully through the online ordering process it can spread to other parts of the globe. I will do my part to seed a need in the Chicago area!
