I've become a big proponent of personal responsibility over the past few years since I read the book QBQ by John Miller. After reading that book I was able to say "oh no, that's me" and work on being more personally responsible myself. One thing I notice in my own life is that my failures are always tied to lack of preparation. For example, if I am late for work I could either blame it on the train that caught me, or more accurately on the fact that I stayed up too late and so did not wake up at the proper time to get ready for work. Great post Bob. As you may already know, I am a huge proponent of increased personal responsibility.
