Taskwriter – A GTD tool

A while ago I wrote about a personal productivity book that I really enjoyed called Getting Things Done. It is one of the most popular books in the productivity genre and rightfully so. The GTD system is a really well designed system that makes organizing your life doable.

Yesterday I found a cool tool, its called Taskwriter. Taskwriter.com streamlines the GTD system even more than David Allen outlined in the book. They have created an online way to monitor your inbox, next action items, and other categories of to-dos. It is very simple and easy to use even for someone who doesn’t know the GTD system. If you are looking for an online to-do list, it is worth checking out.

A few other articles I have been reading lately…

  • Support military families expecting new babies!
  • 5 ways to pay yourself first
  • 34 Christmas Gifts you can make yourself
  • Understanding how financial advisors get paid
  • How to cut your attachment to plastic

And a few carnivals ChristianPF participated in the past week…

Carnival of Personal Finance, 20-something finances, Festival of Frugality, Eco-Carnival

Thanks for the link, Bob!

I’ve heard a lot about the GTD system, but I haven’t read the book. Has it been effective for you?

TaskWriter.com is indeed a very handy app especially for GTDers. Simple, fast but effective. I’ve written a little about it here: http://blog.stephennolen.com/2008/11/gtd-for-you-taskwritercom.html

Paul – GTD is really worth a read. If nothing else it makes you rethink how to process the constant ‘stuff’ inbound in your life.
