ridiculous- is what it is....... I never complain about paying taxes or my bills or whatever else because I believe thats what a responsible adult deals with, but one thing that perturbes me is that with all the new changes the obama administration is doing to help decrease forclosure has absolutely nothing to do with my state. My widowed mother isa working 2 jobs out of town and doing everything else in her power to save her home, pay taxes and not to mention keep on the electicity.......but no help from the same government which she and my dad paid their part to for almost 60 years!!!!! Me and my wife give her the absolute most we can to help her, but reguardless it wont be enough. its a shame to have so much frivalous financial waste from washington when so many hard working people will no longer see the light of day.

Personally, I feel that our government is trying to tax the American people into the poor house. Have any of you really taken a hard look at what we are taxed? Sometimes the tax is taxed 2x. I thought at one time that the tax was given voluntarily. Now I would say it was voluntary complience. You either pay or go to jail or the street because they (the government) doesn't give rats ass. Niether do the the so called elected people that we voted in office.
They get their pay and health care until they die where as the people that are hard working get nothing. This is just my opinion and I could be wrong.

This list is a good one, but it pales in comparison to the list of 2011 tax changes. With the Bush tax cuts expiring, we are going to see rates go up in the near future. But now that we have Republicans in the House I guess we'll find out.

Lynn,
I thought the article was rather "fair and balanced" and did not distort the truth whatsoever. We may agree to disagree, but as a business owner, Bush did a ton of favorable things from a tax perspective not so for the Democrat controlled White House, Senate, and House of Reps. We will see what Republicans do when they take back the House and possibly senate in a week or so. Thank you for the feedback!

As a Democrate, I do not appreciate the right-wing slant in this article. It's okay obviously for this article to slant to the right, but I would prefer the author to say so in a straightforward manner.

Clearly this article was written by a "right-wing" thinking individual. Why are the Bush tax cuts referred to as "benefits" while the 2009 are referred to simply as "breaks"?

I suppose the answer is so that particular sentence would fall in line with "the already complicated tax laws could become more complex? Yet, in 2010, this is shaping up to be one of the most bizarre years on record for uncertainty..."

Not appreciated.

Christian IRS Tax help means reliable and professional help by a Christian tax professional. It is correlated with real solutions to IRS or State tax problems of a taxpayer with unpaid back taxes.

People who file their own taxes miss out on many deductions but 2010 will be an eye opener for most of them because of all these changes that they are not used it. The unemployment $2400 exclusion is going to be the one most taxpayers will feel is very unfair.

@ Financial Bondage, I prepare taxes and I am overwhelmed by all of the publications and nuances in the tax code! It's insane that they can expect someone to master all of that. A fair tax would make so much sense! It's the biblical model and it would get rid of so much excess and waste!

No one knows what the tax code is, not even the IRS... at over 14,000+ pages, how could any person know what to do at any given point?

Nearly 47% of Americans don't pay federal income tax. How the system can allow that just boggles the mind. Can you say fair tax? ;)
