I have been commiting atleast 2 of these "works of flesh" w/o realizing they weren't right. And secondly, I've been asking, specifically for certain things (for specific results, even telling him that I would not like it if God didn't do it in the way I wanted) which was beyond what I actually needed btw. But I realize I have been very selfish in my wishes, not trusting God. So God does not answer all prayers, especially if it was prayed for selfish reasons...don't know if you agree or not.
